After much waiting the prelude to the mega film 'Dasavadharam' happened with much celebrations during the audio launch of the film that was held in Chennai.

The cast and crew prided in bringing a glimpse of what is to come to the eagerly waiting film fanatics. What follows is a curtain raiser to the film that is sure to challenge all the movies released so far in terms of technical as well as aesthetic aspects.

Just when we thought we had seen it all, every possible avatar an actor can take; Kamal Haasan spellbinds his audience and critics once again with his upcoming project 'Dasavathaaram'. Portraying ten different uniquely etched characters, he brings each of them to life with his unmatched versatility. He has also penned the racy screenplay himself. K.S. Ravi Kumar, a director who has the pulse of the audience in his hand, has directed this film. He has quoted that "the audience expects a lot from this movie and it has come out well enough to live up to that." 'Dasavadharam' interestingly has two music directors. Himesh Reshamiya has scored the music for songs which have come out very well. They are a rage among the fans at the moment. The background music for the film has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad.

This is what Kamal Haasan had to say to audience about watching 'Dasavadharam'. "I think, basically I am a cinema fan. And I have given you what I would like to see as a sensible cinema fan. So, I think your intelligence will not be insulted, your time will not be wasted, and you will really enjoy this film." Asin and Mallika Sherawat have acted opposite Kamal in this film with a special appearance from the beautiful Jaya Pradha.

The art direction has been taken care of by the award winning Thotta Tharani.

When things start going wrong in a synthetic bio-weapons laboratory in Washington DC, various international organizations become players in a global cloak-and-dagger game.

The Whitehouse and CIA in the USA, P.M.'s office in India, environmentalists, terrorist organizations and various others converge and become part of a global hunt – some inadvertently and some intentionally.

Starting in the 12th Century AD at the Chidambaram temple complex in South India, the film will take the viewers on a heady roller-coaster ride across time and continents. The master storyteller, in an intriguing screenplay, weaves the chaos theory and the multiple chains of events that follow into one cohesive, thrilling narrative. Spinning the story of 'Dasavathaaram' is as difficult and arduous a task as explaining the 10 different characters played by Dr. Kamal Haasan; yet another one-of-a kind-attempt in world cinema by the thespian.

Told with panache and humor, 'Dasavathaaram' does not take the IQ and the aesthetics of the Indian film going public lightly. It is one of the very few movies which will deliver what it promises, and a little more!

A film that is bound to set a new benchmark in cinematic excellence and in box-office.

Hats off Himesh Reshammiya for Music at his best.

The much-awaited audio of ‘Dasavatharam’ is out. The Bollywood music king Himesh Reshammiya forays down south with the movie which has raised all expectations for the simple fact that Kamal Haasan is part of it and doing 10 different roles.

Known for rendering back-to-back hits in Bollywood, Himesh makes his entry in a grand manner rendering engrossing musical stuff which is foot-tapping as well as soul soothing.

He deserves credit for getting the Tamil audience's pulse right and coming up with music that is sure to satisfy them. Vairamuthu and Vaali add right pep to the album with their powerful lyrics.

With the likes of Kamal Haasan, Himesh himself besides Sadhana Sargam and Hariharan rendering vocals, ‘Dasavatharam’ is no doubt going to be a chartbuster.

Ulaga Nayagan (Vinith)

What better words can Vairamuthu write to describe Kamal Haasan. A perfect number to shake the legs, the songs has a good tune. The catchy orchestration and the lyrics of Vairamuthu describing Kamal Haasan's rare feats and the honor that awaits him in future would go down well with Kamal Haasan fans.

Kallai Mattum Kandal (Hariharan)

The pick of the album. It is a spiritualistic number penned well by Vaali. Begins with Om namo Narayana chanting and the sound of temple bells, it is a high energy song which sets the mood for the movie.

With Hariharan at his usual best, Himesh has produced good music that takes us back to the 13th century.

The instrumentation and the synchronization for the song are catchy and attractive.

OH Ho..Sanam (Kamal Haasan & Mahalakshmi Iyer)

Kamal Haasan is not just an actor par excellence but a singer with great talent. He goes on to prove it again with this song that he is an 'astavadhani'.

A perfect dance number, the song has heavy music with good rhythms and easy to follow tune. Vairamuthu's lyrics are simple but sweet.

Mukundha Mukundha (Sadhana Sargam & Kamal Haasan)

This song is a mix of traditional and contemporary tunes. This number takes off on a traditional note and folk beats; it is more like a bhajan coated with melody. Sadhana Sargam provides life and energy to the song. Kamal Haasan chips in with his best.

Kaa... Karuppanukkum (Shalini Singh)

An item number, supposedly shot on Mallika Sherawat, the song is trendy and chick. Fast beats, providing a retro feel, it is sure to find a place in all the dance floors.

Vairamuthu has penned the lyrics in his usual vigor touching on 11 September attack on US.

OH ...Ho....Sanam (Remix) (Himesh Reshammiyaa & Mahalaksmi Iyer)

Himesh, a bundle of energy, is at it. He sings with his usual energy and vigor to set the right tempo. The original composition of this song has been rendered already by Kamal Haasan in the album. Peppy beats and drums form the background.

All said, ‘Dasavatharam’ music is here to rock.

Finally Dasavatharam – Himesh Reshammiya at his best

Go and grab a copy of the album, if you still don't own one!

Today… May 01st 2008, more than Workers Day, diehard fans of Tamil cinema can easily relate it with Ajith Kumar for it’s his birthday. Actors of not just Tamil cinema, but of various regional film industries are eagerly waiting to convey their birthday wishes today. Already, SJ Suryah has expressed his heartily wishes that it is worth comparing Ajith with Workers Day. Adding more, he has stated that it is because of Mr. Ajith Kumar, he exists here today in tinsel town.

Instead of counting candles,

Or tallying the years,

Contemplate your blessings,

As your birthday nears.

Consider special people

Who love you, and who care,

And others who’ve enriched your life

Just by being there.

Think about the memories

Passing years can never mar,

Experiences great and small

That have made you who you are.

Another year is a happy gift,

So cut your cake, and say,

"Instead of counting birthdays,

I count blessings every day!"

Each year your birthday reminds me

That I really want to say

I’m very glad I know you;

I think of you each day.

I hope you enjoy your birthday,

All the pleasures it has in store,

And because I appreciate you,

I hope you have many more!

We wishing you another year

Of laughter, joy and fun,

Surprises, love and happiness,

And when your birthday’s done,

We hope you feel deep in your heart,

As your birthdays come and go,

How very much you mean to Kollywood,

More than you can know.

Happy birthday to you... May Allah shower blessings on you… Many More Happy Returns of the Day Ajith Anna and ma best wishes towards your upcoming Movies...

Once a year I get the chance

To wish you birthday cheer.
