Known for rendering back-to-back hits in Bollywood, Himesh makes his entry in a grand manner rendering engrossing musical stuff which is foot-tapping as well as soul soothing.
He deserves credit for getting the Tamil audience's pulse right and coming up with music that is sure to satisfy them. Vairamuthu and Vaali add right pep to the album with their powerful lyrics.
With the likes of Kamal Haasan, Himesh himself besides Sadhana Sargam and Hariharan rendering vocals, ‘Dasavatharam’ is no doubt going to be a chartbuster.
Ulaga Nayagan (Vinith)
What better words can Vairamuthu write to describe Kamal Haasan. A perfect number to shake the legs, the songs has a good tune. The catchy orchestration and the lyrics of Vairamuthu describing Kamal Haasan's rare feats and the honor that awaits him in future would go down well with Kamal Haasan fans.
Kallai Mattum Kandal (Hariharan)
The pick of the album. It is a spiritualistic number penned well by Vaali. Begins with
With Hariharan at his usual best, Himesh has produced good music that takes us back to the 13th century.
The instrumentation and the synchronization for the song are catchy and attractive.
OH Ho..Sanam (Kamal Haasan & Mahalakshmi Iyer)
Kamal Haasan is not just an actor par excellence but a singer with great talent. He goes on to prove it again with this song that he is an 'astavadhani'.
A perfect dance number, the song has heavy music with good rhythms and easy to follow tune. Vairamuthu's lyrics are simple but sweet.
Mukundha Mukundha (Sadhana Sargam & Kamal Haasan)
This song is a mix of traditional and contemporary tunes. This number takes off on a traditional note and folk beats; it is more like a bhajan coated with melody. Sadhana Sargam provides life and energy to the song. Kamal Haasan chips in with his best.
Kaa... Karuppanukkum (Shalini Singh)
An item number, supposedly shot on Mallika Sherawat, the song is trendy and chick. Fast beats, providing a retro feel, it is sure to find a place in all the dance floors.
Vairamuthu has penned the lyrics in his usual vigor touching on 11 September attack on US.
OH ...Ho....Sanam (Remix) (Himesh Reshammiyaa & Mahalaksmi Iyer)
Himesh, a bundle of energy, is at it. He sings with his usual energy and vigor to set the right tempo. The original composition of this song has been rendered already by Kamal Haasan in the album. Peppy beats and drums form the background.
All said, ‘Dasavatharam’ music is here to rock.
Finally Dasavatharam – Himesh Reshammiya at his best
